Hotel Richmond Ephesus Reviews

We stayed here May 2012 for our first ever visit to Kusadasi. I was surprised at how quiet the location of this hotel was but it certainly didn’t detract from the holiday at all as it was easy to reach Kusadasi to visit the bars and find things to do. Inside the hotel is clean and all of the staff are really friendly which adds to the stress free experience.

The rooms at the Richmond Ephesus are basic and a little small so definitely the three star plus rating that was given by Thomson rather than the five official stars, this didn’t stop us having a great holiday though as very little time was spent in the actual rooms. The food on offer is varied and having the option of the different a la carte restaurants as well as the buffet and snack bar meant you get plenty of choice and don’t eat the same everyday which can occur in some all inclusive resorts.

June 2012 was the third time we stayed at the Richmond Ephesus resort it’s definitely the hotel to visit if you want peace and quiet, great food and still be just 10 minutes away from Kusadasi for the bars and clubs. The amount of choices when it came to the food was amazing and definitely worth staying in the hotel for. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

Pine Bay Resort

One good hotel that is gaining in popularity is the Pine Bay Holiday Resort in Kusadasi. Set next to the Aegean Sea, this complex has many things to offer. Accommodation is shared between guest rooms, which are up to international standards, and bungalows which have their own inimitable style. All the rooms have TV attached to a satellite service, air conditioning and mini bars.

After people have relaxed for a day or two they usually start looking around for some sport or other to get the adrenalin pumping. Here, there are sports of all kinds which should do just that. This resort has its own aqua park which will give the kids and parents too all the aquatic fun that they want. However, those who just want to slow down the pace a little will find this is possible by stretching out by the pool with a good book.

For those who want energetic things to do, most people opt to stay on site and have a go at step aerobics, take a Turkish bath, or just watch the entertainment which is provided daily. Indeed, the entertainment package is quiet diverse with a piano bar, amphitheater, a quiet pool bar – for those that do not like noise – and a disco on the beach. The entertainment team is vast and they all strive to ensure that everyone is having a good time.

Apart from the main restaurant, the resort also offers five buffet style restaurants around the complex. It also has five a la carte restaurants too where food is served in many styles from traditional Turkish food to Mexican dishes and Mediterranean delicacies as well.

This surely is a culinary dream, eating all this exotic food surrounded by the sound and sight of the ocean with images painted by local artists adorning the walls. The waiting staff is second to none and they will endeavour to fulfill the wishes of diners no matter what they request.

Around Kusadasi there are also many things to go and see. For those who can tear themselves away from all the fun, try a look at Ephesus, where the buildings date back five thousand years. Go swimming in the sea and look for ruins under water.

Boat trips up and down the coast are also a favourite amongst visitors and the boats normally provide an al fresco lunch either on board or on the beach in a private cove somewhere. Indeed, with the smell of the spices, the sight of the sea and the spectacular views from every angle, this place is a must for anyone who wants something just a little bit different.

The great thing about Turkey is that it holds some rather splendid sites to behold. From ancient ruins to the wonders of the sea, there is something for everyone to do here. There are also many levels of hotels here and there is bound to be one which fits into the right budget structure, so take a look at what is on offer online before making the all important decision.
